Have you ever had Golf Swing Slice?

post time 21. May 2008 member admin

The golf swing slice is a very common problem for about 90% of the golfers out there. How do you correct the slice?

This is an issue that has been around for ages. There are a lot of factors contributing to the slice. I know, it has plagued me for years and finally I have come up with a simple solution.

This works for me, maybe not the other guy. I will share some of my testing and ideas.

First, shoulder alignment is a must. The arms follow the shoulders. When I stand in my normal position my shoulders are pointing to the left, I determine this by placing a club shaft across the front of my shoulders.

What I do to get the alignment square is to stand with both feet at 90 degress to the target line shoulder width apart. Then to bring my shoulder square to the target line, I rotate my right foot to the right about 10-15 degrees.

You will have to try this yourself, it works for me. My shoulders being square to the target line keeps me from slicing and puts the golf balls down the middle of the fairway.

I have had other issues that I will cover in future posts. I am not a pro, I couldn’t afford one on one training. Group training is OK for the basics, but not to fine tune your swing.

Here is good site and program that I recommend and it will help answer some of your other questions.
